History

Since 1956
They all knew everything about de-rusting and painting of ships. That is why brothers Hein, Henk and Toon Braspenning started their business alongside the “Noordhollands Kanaal” in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 1956.

Through hard work and entrepreneurship, the number of customers and employees grew rapidly. The company also started to serve customers in other markets.

Most work was done at customers site, however soon the facilities were too small, the company moved to a much bigger yard at the Klaprozenweg in Amsterdam in 1977.

In 1989 the second generation, Mr. Joop Braspenning, seeing the potential, bought the current facilities at tt Melissaweg in Amsterdam. New blasting- and spraying equipment was installed, making it possible to work under good environmental conditions all year around.

The number of ship repair yards throughout the Netherlands has grown ever since as well as the size of the workshops. Many cranes, bridges, storage tanks and other industrial components have been surface treated in our workshops.

The current third generation, Heino Braspenning added the rope access and scaffolding activities to the portfolio and expanded the activities outside the Netherlands. Nowadays the company has established a position in many countries in Europe as well as the Caribbean.
